BBA Aviation

The Programme

BBA Aviation Management offered by HAA is a 3 years course (6 semesters) undergraduate degree full-time course affiliated to the Bangalore University (north).

It is a 3 years course for those who wish to take up careers in the commercial aspects of Aviation and the non-core technical areas. This course reduces training time and costs for companies that require industry-ready individuals.  The course will equip the students in decision-making skills, computing skills, analytical skills and entrepreneurial skills via theoretical and practical training prior to their first day at work in any company that is directly or indirectly related to Aviation.

Hindustan Aviation Academy is an IATA Authorised Training Centre.

  • To help students learn the fundamentals of Aviation Science, basics of Management and its applications. It also aims to make Aviation and related fields interested, challenging and fulfilling for students.
  • To encourage students to undertake project work related to their field of specialisation during the course which will help them to think beyond the confines of the classroom.
  • To develop managers with interdisciplinary knowledge on Aviation and Management
  • To prepare students to take up the responsibility of the full line of human resource functions in an Aviation establishment.
  • To develop middle-level managers who can solve real-time Aviation problems and implement immediate solutions with a focus on safety, quality, competency and holistic approach.
  • To help in the overall growth of students by training them in attitude, social behaviour, decision making, goal setting, focusing and working towards realising their goals.


Resource and Methodology

The course curriculum is framed in a way that the students are familiarised with the Aviation Industry in theory and given ‘hands-on’ training at an Aviation establishment through a practical approach. The teaching is supplemented by audio-visual aids for students to understand the complexities of aircraft operation and aircraft support systems. Visits to Airports, Aerodromes, Aircraft Engineering facilities, Aviation IT facilities, Travel and Tourism companies and other Aeronautical organisations help broaden a Student’s understanding of various functions and aspects of the Aviation industry. 

Students are encouraged to take part in classroom presentations, seminars and workshops to enhance their creativity, knowledge, communication skills and learning. Assignments, periodical tests and exams ensure effective learning experiences for the students. Regular student feedbacks on teaching are followed up with remedial teaching, arranging workshops, seminars and guest lecturers to keep pace with recent developments in the aviation industry.

Faculty Members

The faculty members in charge of the course have been carefully selected based on their industry experience and academic excellence. They are from elite aviation companies such as Emirates, Qatar Airways, Go Air, Indigo, Air India, IATA approved and authorised Instructors and some of them are visiting faculty members. Aviation is a subject which cannot be taught with just a book. The faculty members impart real-time industrial experience to the students keeping in line with the prescribed syllabus by the University and empower students as per Aviation standards.

The employment opportunities in Aviation have more than doubled in recent years in India and abroad. The rapid modernization of the Aviation industry, into the state-of-the-art sector and Foreign Direct Investments friendly industry has created additional opportunities;

With the number of general and commercial aircraft expected to double in the next five years and with the installation of improved infrastructure at all the major airports, re-opening of many underutilised Aerodromes for Passengers; Aviation Management graduates are expected to be in good demand in the near future in India and abroad.

Above all, the student must be determined and motivated to take up any amount challenges involved in the Aviation industry, grooming herself/himself to be disciplined, well mannered and smart human being to becoming a highly skilled and dedicated Aviator.


Pass in 10 + 2 (or) Equivalent or from a Diploma stream approved by AICTE or DTE

Student of NIOS / Vocational / Related Courses in India / Abroad is required to get the Certification in their Institutional Letter-Head in the prescribed format given below and submit to Hindustan Business School at the time of admission.

(Institution name) with the subject and this course is equivalent to 10+2/HSE/Equivalent Board and he/she is eligible for further any UG Degree full-time program in any state recognised university in India.
